Short and low maintenance. Still worth getting the edges right.
The shop’s own site describes this as short, clipper based cuts for a simple, low maintenance look. There is no separate buzz cut line on the online booking menu, so book a Haircut and say what guard number you are after. Short does not mean careless: the neckline and the edges are what make a buzz cut look deliberate.
When there is no length to hide behind, the neckline and the sideburns are the finish. That is the part worth paying a barber for.
Bring a guard number if you know it. If you do not, say how short you want it and Andre will translate.
A buzz cut looks its worst around week four when the outline goes soft. Come back before that and it always looks intentional.
The shop’s own description of how it works is short: clear consultation, consistent cutting technique, and attention to detail. In that order. Here is what that looks like from your side of the chair.
Select your service, choose a time, and you are all set. Every price and duration is on the booking page.
Bring a photo or describe it. Nothing starts until you and Andre agree on what you are getting.
Consistent technique through the cut, then the detail work at the neckline, the sideburns and the edges.
A buzz cut done at home and a buzz cut done at a barber differ in exactly two places: the neckline and the taper at the sideburns. Those two lines are what your eye reads. A blunt neckline grows out into a shadow within a fortnight. A tapered one does not. Signore books 45 minutes for a Haircut, which is far more time than a buzz needs, and the surplus goes into the finish.
Book a Haircut on the online menu, $50 for 45 minutes. There is no cheaper buzz cut line published, so that is the honest price to quote. If you want the beard taken down to match, Haircut & Beard is $65 for an hour. Walk-ins are welcome when space is available, and a short cut is the easiest thing to slot into a gap, but there is only one chair so a call ahead helps.
Signore publishes eleven bookable services with a price and a duration on each. Buzz Cuts is not one of them, and this page is not going to invent a price for something the shop has not published.
Book the service closest to what you want, then say what you are after in the consultation. If you are not sure which line fits, call (781) 309-0461 and Andre will tell you which one to pick and how long to allow.
I've been going to Andre for almost 3 years now. Can't say enough great things. Friendly, easy to talk to and on top of all that, amazing haircuts. 10/10
One chair, one barber, and this is the whole list:
Booking runs on Square and takes about a minute. Or call (781) 309-0461 during shop hours.
Signore takes appointments online through Square and it is the fastest way in. Walk-ins are welcome when space is available, but there is one chair and one barber, so a booked slot is the only way to be certain of a time.
